Allison Morgan MA, OTR, RYT is a licensed occupational therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) who has been working with children for over two decades. Allison has devoted her career to fostering the growth, development and well-being of children and adolescents in multiple settings. She has extensive experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses such as sensory processing disorders, learning and developmental disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and physical disabilities.
As an occupational therapist, she is trained to evaluate an individuals strengths and weaknesses in order to determine where any disability may be inhibiting the opportunity to live life more fully. When she began applying a yogic approach to her work, she immediately began to see a new level of change within herself, and her clients. In yoga, the belief is that we are already PERFECT as we are. This perfection is just not always SEEN. It lies deep within. It is at this inner depth that we must begin with in order to heal, develop and blossom. Starting with perfection. It is the integration of yoga and therapy that has facilitated her ability to see the open and expanding heart that lies within each individual, rather than the limits of their physical or cognitive challenges.
Uniting her passion for helping children find their inner perfection with her love of yoga and occupational therapy, guided Allison to create ZENSATIONAL KIDS.
Allison collaborates with teachers, parents, therapists and administrators to help children learn, live and thrive within the public school environment. She has developed innovative programs to facilitate inclusion for special needs students. As well as enhance the learning of all children within a classroom. Allison provides consultation services to schools assisting them to better meet the needs of children with special needs. Allison has presented numerous seminars and training courses teaching the methods of integrating yoga into many settings to occupational, speech/language and physical therapists, teachers, school support staff, childcare center staff members, and parent support groups.
